The Founder
Why I started Hawk.
I founded Hawk IT Solutions after conversations with business owners in AEC, manufacturing and distribution revealed a clear need for reliable, accessible IT support.
My mission is to provide honest service at a fair price, helping businesses adopt current technology, achieve their goals and protect their companies, their data and their people.
Jon brings more than 20 years of hands-on IT experience, from the help desk to leading IT for a multi-building campus. He keeps his cybersecurity knowledge current through ongoing study, adapting how he protects businesses as threats and tools change.

Before Hawk, Jon spent his career running IT from the inside, where downtime and data loss hit the business directly. A few highlights:
A campus that grew from one building to nine
Led IT for a manufacturing and distribution campus through its expansion to nine buildings, including offices, production studios and warehousing.
Comfortable at small-business scale
Has supported organizations larger than most small and mid-sized businesses, across Windows, macOS and Linux, with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune and centralized device management.
Layered security
Managed Palo Alto firewalls, Microsoft Defender and Cortex XDR, rolled out MFA, BitLocker and LAPS, and protected inboxes with Check Point email security and KnowBe4 phishing training.
Backups that restore
Ran backup and long-term retention for large volumes of business data with off-site, immutable copies, and wrote the disaster recovery and business continuity plans behind them, including recovery time objectives (RTOs) for critical systems.
Always-on operations
Provided 24/7 monitoring, incident response and datacenter failover for a digital banking platform serving 1,600+ financial institutions.
Multi-site and cloud networks
Connected multiple locations into one secure, centrally managed network, and linked on-premises networks to cloud environments in AWS and Microsoft Azure.
