One-Time / Projects
Fix the problem. Move work forward.
Focused IT troubleshooting and technology projects for businesses that design, build, manufacture and move things. No monthly support plan required.
One defined job. An agreed scope. A clear handoff.
- Business-hours appointments
- Prearranged evening and weekend projects
- Emergency help, subject to availability
Start With What Isn’t Working
A specific problem. A practical next step.
Unreliable connections, scattered files and unclear access interrupt real work. Choose a focused job or start with an assessment. Equipment, software and access are reviewed before a job is accepted.
- Connectivity
Wi-Fi, networks & printing
“The connection keeps dropping. Printing keeps failing.”
Investigate connectivity, network settings, printer drivers and print queues, then test agreed devices where your employees actually use them.
You get: Tested corrections, or findings that identify the next repair or upgrade.
- People & access
Employee setup & offboarding
“Someone is starting, or leaving, and access needs attention.”
Set up agreed accounts and devices, assign approved permissions, and remove a departing employee’s access from the systems included in the job.
You get: A checklist of the accounts, devices and permissions addressed.
- Project data
File organization & migration
“Nobody knows where the latest project file lives.”
Plan shared folders and permissions, organize supported storage, or migrate an agreed set of files. Work starts with a pilot and access is verified with your users.
You get: An agreed file structure, migration results and a guide to where information belongs.
- Clarity
IT assessment & improvement plan
“We know there are problems. Where do we start?”
Review agreed equipment, critical business dependencies, access controls, backup arrangements and documentation, and identify practical improvements in priority order.
You get: A prioritized action plan you can work through one project at a time.
- Recovery
Backup review & restore test
“The backup says it worked. Can we get our files back?”
Review selected backup coverage and run a scoped restore test to find missing data and recovery dependencies. Application or server recovery is scoped separately.
You get: Test results, identified gaps and recommended improvements.
- Account protection
Business account security
“We need better control over who can access our systems.”
Review supported business accounts, such as Microsoft 365, and put agreed multi-factor authentication, administrator access and sharing settings in place.
You get: A record of changes, any remaining issues and a named owner for ongoing administration.
- Power protection
UPS & battery backup
“The power blinked and everything went down.”
Size, supply and install plug-in rack or tower UPS units for servers, network equipment and workstations, set up automatic shutdown and outage alerts, or replace aging batteries. Any dedicated circuit or hardwiring is done by a licensed electrician Hawk brings in and manages.
You get: Installed and tested UPS units, configured shutdown and alerts, and a record of runtimes and battery dates.
- Technology planning
Inventory, licensing & replacements
“What do we own, what are we paying for, and what needs replacing?”
Document agreed equipment and software, review license assignments and renewals, or coordinate a defined issue with an internet, equipment or software vendor.
You get: An inventory, a renewal list or a prioritized replacement plan.
Built Around Your Work
From the design desk to the shipping station.
Architecture, engineering & construction
CAD and BIM application installation and licensing, project-file access and field connectivity.
Design models and BIM workflows stay with your design or software specialist.
Manufacturing & fabrication
Office and engineering networks, documented infrastructure, recovery dependencies and defined vendor coordination.
Machine controls and production changes need the equipment owner and vendor involved.
Warehousing & distribution
Connectivity, shipping-station printing, and troubleshooting supported handheld scanners and label printers after an equipment review.
ERP and WMS business logic and inventory processes stay with the application owner.

Not sure what’s causing it? Start with a diagnosis.
A troubleshooting job may begin with a paid diagnostic session. Any additional repairs, purchases or scope changes are discussed before work continues. A diagnosis can also point to a vendor dependency or a replacement need rather than an immediate fix.
Before You Book
Straightforward answers.
Do I need a monthly support plan?
No. One-time work is available without a managed IT plan. A written quote or work authorization still defines the job, payment terms and responsibilities.
How is one-time work priced?
Pricing depends on the job. Hawk confirms the pricing approach and any diagnostic charge before work begins. Hardware, software licenses, vendor fees and any travel charges are listed separately.
Can you work evenings or weekends?
Yes, for prearranged projects, subject to scheduling and any agreed after-hours charges. Standard appointments are scheduled during business hours.
Can you help with an emergency?
Emergency requests are considered based on availability and the type of problem. There is no guaranteed response time or around-the-clock coverage, so please call to check availability before relying on help during an active outage.
What happens after the job is finished?
Follow-up terms are stated in your quote or work authorization. Ongoing monitoring, maintenance and support are scoped separately, and hardware, software and cloud services may have their own recurring costs.
Do you support every application or industrial device?
Whether something can be supported is checked before a job is accepted. CAD design work, ERP or WMS configuration, machine controls, regulated-system validation and compliance certification may need your software vendor or a specialist.
